Recently we received donations of student backpacks and materials from Woodland Bank and People in Business Who Care. Thank you to both groups for donating items for our kids!
More recently, I was asked if there was anything that the school (classrooms/kids) could use. Smaller items that you might not think we could use. I did a quick straw poll and here are some items I heard classrooms could use:
- Clorox Wipes
- Kleenex Brand Tissue
- Low Odor Dry Erase Markers
On the playground we can always use:
- Jump Ropes, especially the longer ones.
- Sidewalk Chalk
- Smaller Kick Balls for classrooms (to bring outside)
- Hula Hoops
One last spot, the media center is used in the mornings and during inclement weather. Our collection of board games and activities are dwindling (and aging).
- Board Games for Kids
- Mancala
- Decks of Playing Cards
- Card Games (such as old maid, etc.)
- Puzzles
- Construction Activities (Knex style)
Coincidentally enough, as I was writing this a staff member stopped in to share the following. SunnyD products are offering books to classrooms that turn in 20 UPC labels from their line of SunnyD Products. The deadline is November 14th and the books are grade level appropriate from Scholastic.
So, if you find yourself at the store and wouldn’t mind helping out we could use any of the above. Feel free to drop items or UPC labels off in the office with Sue.
Thank you again for taking the time to read this!
