Fathers Reading Every Day

(An event for Fathers, Male Role Models, and their children)

Tuesday, February 28

5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Cohasset Elementary School

450 Columbus Avenue

Cohasset, MN 55721

(We will meet in the Cafeteria.)

The FRED event encourages fathers to read to their children daily. Fathers and other male caregivers and their children are invited to attend two free sessions at the Cohasset Elementary School for dinner, informational materials on reading, a book give away and more. A variety of male community leaders will be present to read short stories to the children and their fathers.

The FRED event is brought to you by ISD 318 – Cohasset Elementary School, Americorps, Minnesota Reading Corps, Project Read and the Minnesota Humanities Center.

Food for the night will be pizza from LMNO and yogurt parfaits from McDonald’s.

The session for fathers will be a little different from the past couple years so even if you’ve been before you’ll learn something new.  On a side note…. part of the presentation to the men will discuss the impact and importance they have on the lives of our children.  If you have photos you would be willing to that show you reading with your child OR sharing one of their favorite activities (even if non-reading related), please email them to: smartinson@isd318.org
